A Parisian techno night in the 'Pumpwerk' at Osnabrück

One of the "VeeJayGROOVE" events organised by the European Media Art Festival will be a French party in Wilhelmshaven.

 
The international success of Daft Punk, Air, I:Cube, Laurent Garnier and others founded the reputation of Paris as a European techno centre. 
For the first time in a long while popular isolation music 'made in France' is constantly in the international charts. 

Special guests in Wilhelmshaven will be two Parisian VeeJay groups with completely different concepts:
"LAPS" works mainly with found footage material. The VeeJay trio roams French flea markets for overlapped and often damaged copies of old educational and industrial films. They juxtapose the lucid machine dreams of today's dance floor beats with the naïve technical euphoria of the past in an ironic way.

On the other hand the "SkwARX & LARSEN-Family" fully concentrates on professional computer and television standards. 

The group of four inde-pendent Parisian VeeJays presents impressive electronic art deco with a visual imagination that is internationally unrivalled. 
They continuously mix styles using pretty much every creative principle in the history of pop art.

Live performances by the 13 members of "Les ASTEROÎDES" round up the Paris special of VeeJayGROOVE.
With their weird mixture of prehistoric archaism and outer space science fiction outfits, the rave dance group has caused a sensation on the most prestigious French dance floors way across the borders of Paris.

Their public appearance in Wilhelmshaven celebrates the German premiere of this mixed group of circus dancers, showgirls and performance artists.
